Garforth Town 3 - 1 Mossley

The hot and cold sequence of results and performances currently being “enjoyed” by Mossley continued at Garforth with another one from the blue topped tap.

Two goal within the first eight minutes basically did all the damage and though we pulled one back from the penalty spot through Clive M&M, reports from those who went say the home side were never really in any danger of having their lead pegged back.

As you may have guessed from the last paragraph, I wasn't at this game. I could have been but I just couldn't be bothered.

I could have jumped on the train and gone but with money not exactly being plentiful at the moment, coupled with not wanting to give what little of it there is to Simon Clifford's ego promotion fund, it was an easy decision to get in some practise for the coming months of football free Saturdays.

There was the idea of filling the football free hours by doing a bit planning for something I've had in mind for a while, but I made the mistake of turning on the TV and, well, that time soon went; gobbled up by episodes of Psych, The Wire and The Inbetweeners.

So if you want a proper report on the game I suggest you click on the following link to Mossleyweb. Barring some exceptional circumstances, normal service will be resumed on here for the Woodley game in midweek.

Finally, congratulations to Glossop North End on reaching the final of the FA Vase in the most tense and nerve shredding way possible. That said, a 122nd minute equaliser and winning the subsequent penalty shoot out is probably the best and most memorable way of doing it.
